State and World Series Qualifying
State Tournaments: All tournaments qualify the top 25% in each age and class for the State Tournament. If the winning teams have already qualified then the berth will be passed down.
World Series: Teams can qualify only through a NIT or State Tournament. The top 25% in each age and class qualify for the World Series. If the winning teams have already qualified then the berth will be passed down. You still must play in your state tournament to go to a World Series. You can only play in the state tournament that you are going to the World Series for. Exception: you can play in a higher age as long as it’s the same classification or you can play in the same age group as long as you play in a higher classification.
The formula for freezing the top 25%
1-4 entries - 1 team is frozen.
5-8 entries - 2 teams are frozen.
9-12 entries - 3 teams are frozen.
13-16 entries - 3 teams are frozen
Elite World Series: Teams can qualify only through a Super NIT Tournament.
