 Frequently Ask Questions Minimize

Question:

I am a Team Manager and I do not no my Password or ID?

Answer:

Enter email at this web page

    http://www.usssa.com/sports/GetPassword.asp

Question:

I want my son released from his current team but the manager will not do it. How do I get him released?

Answer:

First you email the manager and ask him why he is not being released. If there is financial reason such as you need to return the uniform or money was not paid for tournaments that must be done. If there is no other reason and he still will not release the player contact the state director by email stating that you want the player released. The state director will then contact the manager to find out his reasons. If the player is still not released after 2 weeks the state director then has the option of releasing the player.

Question:

When does my roster become frozen?

Answer:

When you qualify for the state championship or the World Series. Generally the top 25% in any tournament will be frozen. The top 25% in a qualifying tournament receives a berth to the state tournament. The top 25% in an NIT receives a berth to the state tournament and World Series.

The formula for freezing the top 25%

1-4 entries - 1 team is frozen.
5-8 entries - 2 teams are frozen.
9-12 entries - 3 teams are frozen.
13-16 entries - 3 teams are frozen

Question:

What does having a frozen roster mean?

Answer:

Once your roster is frozen you can only add 3 or remove unlimited players from your roster. Releasing a player does NOT give you an additional add.

Question:

Why are some of my players shown on other team rosters also?

Answer:

Before a player is frozen on a team roster, the computer will allow that player to be inserted on multiple teams.  Many players play on multiple teams in a given season.  Once added to a roster, the USSSA computer will not automatically remove a player from a given roster if he becomes frozen on another team's roster.  The computer will prohibit any team from adding a player this is frozen on another roster in the same age.

Question:

Why have some of my players disappeared from my roster?

Answer:

The USSSA computer allows players to be added to multiple rosters as long as that player is not frozen on a roster already.  When a roster is frozen, the USSSA computer will automatically drop the players on that roster from any other roster they might appear on in that age because players can only be on one frozen roster per age division.  So although players can be on multiple rosters for a portion of the season, any team that allows players to be on other rosters runs a risk of losing those players to the other teams that they might appear on.

Question:

WHAT IF A TEAM INTENTIONALLY FORFEITS A GAME?

Answer:

If a team intentionally forfeits a game in pool play, that team will be prohibited from playing in the championship bracket.  If the same team commits the act more than once in a season, possible suspension could apply.

Question:

When is the last date my team can be lowered in classification?

Answer:

After the first weekend in June’s tournament results have been posted. Usually between June 1 and June 6.  No team will be dropped for any reason after that date. (But any team can choose to play in a higher class if they wish)

Question:

I have registered my team but I can’t find it under TEAM SEARCH?

Answer:

Your team will not show up under TEAM SEARCH until you play in a tournament. But you can always find your team by going to rankings. Enter Arkansas/ your age and class/ the year
